Form II Biographies
This is far from an exhaustive list; these are some beginning suggestions for books that are relatively easy to find, and are delightful for the whole family, but are especially nice for children in the Form II age range.
Anastasis the Harrowing of Hades by Creative Orthodox (graphic novel) (This is not a saint's biography, but is a beautiful retelling of the Resurrection story)
The Life of the Great Martyr St. George by Georgia Hronas

Keeper of the Light: St. Macrina the Elder Grandmother of Saints by Bev Cooke (fictional retelling of the life of St. Macrina the Elder, grandmother of St. Basil the Great)
A Forest in the Desert: the Life of St. John the Short by Creative Orthodox (a tasteful graphic-novel retelling of the life of St. John the Short)
Friends of Christ series published by New Rome Press (all of the children's books published by New Rome Press are excellent and most of them are exactly right for Form II students. This series consists of one book for every month of the year, each one containing several lives of saints commemorated during that month).
Stories from the Gerontikon published by New Rome Press (graphic novel)
The Lion and the Saint by Laura E. Wolfe (a retelling of the life of St. Gerasimos, told from the point of view of the lion he befriended)
The Cross and the Stag by Gabriel Wilson (graphic novel about the life and martyrdom of St. Eustathios and his family)
The Broken Wheel by Gabriel Wilson (graphic novel about thelife of St. Katherine)
The Sands of Salvation by Gabriel Wilson (graphic novel about the life of St. Moses the Ethiopian)
The Wonderful Life of St. Sergius of Radonezh by Alvin Alexei Currier (a longer picture book about the life of St. Sergius of Radonezh)
Father Herman: Alaska’s Saint by F. A. Golder (short chapter book about the life of St. Herman of Alaska)
Royal Monastic: Princess Ileana of Romania by Bev Cooke (a biography of Mother Alexandra of Holy Transfiguration Monastery in Ellwood City, PA.)
